This was taken in the Kruger National Park. This Hyena was checking out a 2 Buffalo kills that had been made by 3 young male Lions. He was staring intently waiting and hoping for his turn. There were loads of vultures and a few Jackals waiting in the wings as well.

Nice portrait Dumay! Considering it's a jpeg.....pretty good detail also....you just lost a touch under the snout. Nice job isolating the BG too....my favorite part is the missing chunk of ear!

That's the same look I've seen on my dog's face when I'm eating a steak :). Nice detail, color, and BG.

    V nice.
We've been to Kruger three times and love it, the self drive/explore. Do you have a favorite area? (For those who not familar, Kruger is huge, size of our state New Jersey)

    Hi Dumay,
Nice composition. I like the nicely diffused background. Look forward to more.

Hi Dumay, this works for me. Good detail throughout, and what a killer BG. Well captured.
