    Default Skinny Spoonbill

This is another spoonbill that is more lean, and a lot greener on the head and have darker lines on the head.
Could it be male? female? or Juvi?

Did not have enough DOF, so I decided to focus on the head and beak.

Nice colours and the DOF seems to be just covering the length of the beak but maybe leaving the head a bit soft. Dark BG works well - did you burn some of this in to accentuate the effect?

    Tony,
Yes, I burnt the BG to to make it less distracting. With f/4, bg was still too busy, yet not enough to get the body real sharp. Lesson learned!

I am not an expert on spoonies, but this is an adult in prime breeding colors. The green on head, very dark markings on neck, etc. To the best of my knowledge, there is no sexual dimorphism in spoonies.

I like the pose, great eye contact, looks curious.

The background work has left some haloing around the head and neck.

    Cheers
