This is my favorite farm scene from my outing with Anita Bower. I loved how the farm was set in the hillside and the lovely colors of the landscape. I used Topaz Simplify with the watercolor filter for this. And, yes, I left the electric lines on purpose - it's part of the landscape. :-)

Nice layered look to the scene. I like the way the farm is set back nicely in the frame.

I do as well. I also like how "springy" and vibrant this scene is. I also really like that this shows all three types of society today - the natural open land in the FG, the farmed (rural) land in the center and the "urban" area in the BG. Nicely done!

Barbara, I love the view you captured and your painterly treatment really enhances the layers of colors in the scene. Very lovely image.

stunning composition. I love this part of the country. The sky looks a tad off probably from the topaz i.e., the color on the left of the image vs. the right side. I actually like the duller blue on the left of the image.

Thanks, Denise, Jules, Patti and Michael. Michael, the image was polarized - and sometimes with a wider angle you get some differences, which in turn was accentuated with the Topaz watercolor. The Topaz brightened everything up quite a bit. :)

Nice scene, Barbara. Love the bright colors and painterly treatment. I might tone down the buildings on the right just a little.
