Very quiet around here at the moment so here's something from last Spring.
I had about six family groups of these within about 100 metres of tent in the semi arid scrub of north est Victoria. each group usually consists of 3 or 4 'brown' birds and a couple of coloured males

One to be proud Rob. BTW I do not worry about the OOF tail. The BG is "splendid" and the pose really nice. Tack sharp. Well done

Great shot, Rob. The colours and pose are lovely. The BG is really lovely - especially with the bluish central area.

Rob.....this is one beautiful bird :)....very well captured!
Sharp, great colors and BG.I think that croping little on the right side would give even better composition .

Beautiful image Rob. Love how nicely emerging the blue bird from the bg.

Really beautiful. I'd be happy to have it as is, but I might wish for a BG that is all that nice reddish brown without blue/gray area in the middle.

Did you do some work around the tail? Maybe S/H or blurring of some sort? There is a bit of a soft glow there.

Stunning capture!!! Just being extra critical, I'd go back a little bit in the sharpening in the breast and head.

    Great work, congratulations!

The image is impressive in every way !!! Agree with suggestions Cropping wise would move the bird slightly up/left Sure wish that different color area was not present but one fine image as presented Big Congrats !!!!
