Mike, nice soft light, but wings need more light to bring out some details.

Nice light and fantastic pose of this RWBB. The blacks looks good (with enought details) in my monitor but, perhaps the reds are a bit saturated (red channel oversaturate in digital very easily). BG and perch are very good. I like this one a lot :)

    Mike:

I love the grip on the cattail. My first thought when looking at the thumbnail was that the reds were oversaturated. The pose is great. I am torn about the brightness of the image. My initial impression is it needs to go about 1/3 stop brighter. You might however lose a bit of the early morning feel.

I would try it both ways and see what tells your story the best!

    The background is sublime.

    Cheers

A very intense looking photo. I like it.
I like Randy's suggestion of trying it a bit lighter, and perhaps you have already tried.
    Nicely done.

I agree about the reds being slightly overcooked, and the only wing that needs a hint of detail is on my left (bird's right)...love the open beak, light and exposure all round!

Pose, light and BG look very good. The reds have been mentioned and I would try to get more details in the blacks.
