    Neil,

    Greetings. I like the composition of the shot & the background. Might up the shutter speed a bit... some room before noise sets in? Seems a little oversharpened, I think I'm seeing a halo.

    Hi Neil - like the composition, pose and eye contact - the roughly broken end of the perch is unfortunate - was this a setup perch??
    Also see a halo.

    Like the tech settings and overall exposure !! ... with these guy we try to get then calling with the shoulders out and open beak, good luck should be having many chances !! They can be spectacular !!!

    Hi Neil, I feel overall you did a good job with the image. I might crop the top just covering the broken end of the branch. There could be more of a crop on the left but I could go either way on this...

    Thanks for the comments guys. It's how I am going to get better :)
    Now that you point it out I do see the halo.

    Lance- This was at a setup but this wasn't the perch he was supposed to use.. Just a stick he landed on within shooting distance.
