    You made a fantastic vertical comp out of traditional horizontal image. Excellent composition.

    John, I like this. It reminds me of rays of light. The vertical comp. does look good. Very nice pose.

    Nice BG and comp, nice breeding plumage too! would sharpen a bit more if RAW has details...TFS great shot!

    John:

    I like this non traditional view of the avocet (different pose and background).

    I might consider toning down the brightest vegetation on the lower left, as it does compete with the bird.

    Nicely exposed.
