    Taken yesterday morning on the walk back after looking for Sandpipers. 50D, 500mm +1.4TC, f/5.6, 1/800, EC +2/3, ISO400.
    Cropped vertical from a horizontal and a bit off the top, and some bits and pieces of branches removed.

    I like the composition. Could have used a bit more DOF to get the tail in focus.

    Dave, nicely framed between the two small twigs of the perch. I like the pose, and ruffled plumage.

    You gentlemen are far too kind. I think I really blew the yellows out.
    Here is a quick repost.
    I also agree a bit more dof was possible and worked have been nice.

    Very nice image, like the repost too, i think for my taste somewhere between the two would be nice. I love the fluffed up look :)
