I took an image of this Dahlia and was manually focusing when I decided to keep it a bit sift to get a painterly look for the theme. I did this a few times before liking the results-most of them just looked blurry. Let me know your thoughts.:)
This is beautiful, Denise. Love the soft colors, swirls and the formed shapes. Agree with your assessment just enough blur to make it feel like brush strokes. Excellent composition and technique.
I love this dreamy image. Quite abstract and could be a representation of anything one wants. Love the soft tones and colours. Could quite see it hanging on the wall of a modern house in a very large size.

Love it! Great idea and great execution. I like the gorgeous colors and light, and all those lines and curves. I wish the out of focus pink to the left of center were a little less prominent as it pulls my eye. Really beautiful.

Love the colors and the softness. And the dreamy look. A monitor crop from the bottom eliminating about half of the distance from the frame edge to the bottom of the left hand (our left) purple petal strengthens this a ton IMO :)
