    This is my newbie way of practicing and learning, I go after the ubiquitous crows! Always there, often unafraid and close.. you can always count on them to model for you! I am still to get good BIFs from them, though..
    This one makes me laugh as the wings seem to me like the classic comic "I'll beat you up" pose, flexing his muscles!

    Nikon D5000, 70-300 VR @ 300mm, ISO 200, 1/640 at F/5.6

    I like the head angle, funny pose and particularly the BG. I would put the bird a bit higher in the frame.

    Actually I placed the bird low in the frame to accentuate the comic effect (torso with hands etc.), and also because i did not have the feet totally in the frame as i was trying to make a portrait. So, going low, yet not accommodating the feet would seem bad, right?

    I don't think it would lose the effect if the bird were a bit higher in the frame, not by much, though.
