While going through the stuff at my mom's house, I stumbled across a box in the garage which had a bunch of 2x2 prints that my dad had taken as a young man from the 1950's using his old Yashica MF camera. I wish he had saved the negatives. :( Many of these images were not in the best of shape. I put them all in a plastic ziplock bag and sent them off to scancafe, and they did an amazing job of bringing back these images to life. I'm still awaiting the full res scans, but they have made the lo-rez scans available for download. Here's one of the images from what appears to be Paris from the late 1940's or early 1950's I reckon based on the type of cars they had there. I really liked the composition of this image. I'm trying now to have all of the old family pics and my old film pics scanned and cataloged. It's going to be a major undertaking, but I'm so glad many of these old pics will be able to have a second life.
