    Default Field Sparrow

Found several singing Field Sparrows while scouting for Turkeys the other day. Came back and set this shot up by clearing a bit of background clutter to allow for a clean perch.

In hind sight...I needed more DOF still.

    Hope you enjoyed.

Nice image.. I like the HA and the EC. The bird is in sharp focus and I love that BG. The only problem I have is with the flower hiding the foot, but that I can live with..

    Very nice image..

    Jason:

Sharp, well exposed, great look back pose, pleasant BG.

If possible, you can help with the DOF issue in a setup if the perch is parallel to the image sensor.

I would consider toning down the white flowers just a bit so they don't draw our eye away from the bird.

    Cheers

Great sharpness up top; I don't particularly mind that the tail feathers are slightly soft. Agree with Randy about toning down the perch a little.

Focus is where it should be and for that reason the DOF is fine as is. I wish the tail itself was in better condition more than I wish for it to be sharp. Bummer about the flower covering the foot - that is my biggest issue wih the image. Sweet BG, and great pose from this sparrow.
