It's cold
Hummingbirds definitely do not like the snow. Yes, that is a large snowflake and ice on the feeder as well. I was the sole shooter the last afternoon of the McDonald's workshop in Madera Canyon last week. I had a large umbrella and good poncho to keep me dry. The birds were very busy, but the wet, heavy snowflakes were really making them work hard to feed.

post processing in LR3 and I have noticed that I lose a lot of sharpness went I convert from RAW to jPEG for posting
