This is one of the only birds left for the season at Anhinga Trail. Went yesterday in search of the Swallow tailed kites that come to the parking lot for nesting material but missed it.

Love the capture Oz. I like the wings in the up position. Did you do some work in front of the birds chest and around the legs? Also looks like it has a slight blue cast. I guess we now have to wait until next year for Anhinga.

Hi Oz - Mr Waas nailed it - does seem to be a slight blue cast - like the wings, good HA and eye contact.

Hi Oscar, like the pose, HA, and Wings up, does appear to be a slight bluish cast present, especially around the legs. Looks similar to BKG.
Looks forward to meeting up and shooting some together!

Nice image, Oz. Wing position excellent and sharp bird. Agree on slight color cast. Perhaps a slight crop on bottom would improve the comp.

Agree on the cast and would desaturate the blue sky a bit !!! ... did you see the birds and missed or they did not show Oz ?

Hi Oscar, I like the wing position but agree on the blue caste. Whats hurting the image most of all is the harsh, contrasty lighting...
