This image of two overhead Pelicans was taken at Merritt Island NWR last year.

Modifications in PS4 included; Cutout, Angle Strokes and Water Paper.

The frame is one of my custom frame creations.

    Enjoy!

Nice graphic look to this Mark. I like the BG rings but wish they didn't merge into the birds. Nice frame and effects applied.

Thanks for viewing and comments, Denise. Appreciate it.

When I first saw it, I felt the same. But it has grown on me and looking at it now I think it is acceptable. The rings are not perfect, they both are ragged, throughout the image area. Therefore, the areas around the birds seem to fit. But appreciate your comment, as noted, I felt the same. After you view it for a few weeks like I have ... you might agree! ;) Then again ... :D

I like the different wing positions of each Pelican. The simplicity of this image works well. The pp you did emphasizes the graphic design aspect. Lovely colors. I find the frame, though lovely, a bit overpowering--I think it is too much (too wide maybe) for the small birds.

Thanks Anita for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

I prefer wider wooden frames, of simple design, when I do use wood. Most of my frames are black metal however. But for this theme I have tried to devise suitable wooden frames, for variety. But appreciate your comment and understand that some prefer the narrower frame format.

Mark, I love the white pelicans - one of my favorite birds. Nice job on the painted look for them.

What I find odd about the frame is that the vertical pieces are wider than the horizontal ones. Don't think I've ever seen that before? Maybe I have and just didn't realize it, but aren't frames typically made from the same stock cut into different lengths?

You get the Pelican award for your visual acuteness! ;) You are the only one to comment on that optical effect.

For some reason some of the frames come out that way when I post them. I've tried correcting, but ... :o

The frame is made of one piece of stock (section of photo of our entertainment center), which I copied and rotated for each side, after cutting the bevels and therefore all pieces should be the same width. When I posted it, I noticed the same, but ... :( Oh well ...

Expected Denise to catch that, but you are the first. Your award will be sent via Carrier Pigeon, on the next flight. ;) :D

LOL! I'll be on the lookout for the pigeon Mark. :D Doesn't detract from the image at all, but it is puzzling. Seems to follow the aspect ratio of the image.

Keep your feeder full and hopefully they will be hungry! :D

Thanks again. I really like that frame and hope to find the fault for future use.
