    Default Northern wheatear

Today i was finally lucky with the birds. I managed to approach this lovely bird into a few meters. I'm looking forward to hear your critiques. Canon eos 30d with canon 300mm f4 with 1,4 converter.

    Thijs:

Soft light, excellent head position for look back pose, soft and muted background.
I might consider a bit more sharpening on the head/eye area, as the wings looks just a bit sharper to me.
I would try a 25% crop of the free space above, and perhaps just a bit from the right (into the gap between the plants). Just an option to see what you think of it.

    Cheers

    Randy

Thijs, I think that this is beautiful. I like the colors and the view of the bird's back. Very nicely composed as well.

A pleasing image with good colours, I agree with Randy's comments regarding cropping and a little extra sharpening.
