Well here is my first 7D image, got the camera yesterday, I was hoping to get some sedge warblers but they were too elusive. This little guy waited whilst I got Barney (my dog) to sit down and set up the tripod, as soon as I pointed the camera the wind picked up and he started to preen, this is one of the few images where there were not too many legs and feathers at bizarre angles!:)
I applied noise reduction (using Photoshop)Filter >Noise> Reduce Noise to the background only, the BPN "standard " sharpening followed by one further round on the head.
    All comments welcome.

This guy does indeed look like it needs a good preen! Looks it was raining too with the wet feathers and branch? Good perch, and I like the fresh spring sprouting leaves. Good comp. There are some areas' edges that you did not go close enough to with the NR (see along bottom of of perch, and branch and leaves at right).

    Jonathan:

Sharp, well exposed, interesting wet feathers. Great eye. Open bill a plus. Good pickup by Daniel about the NR.

Have fun with the new toy.

    Cheers
