Great action you managed to capture here. Dynamic pose with the dangling feet, open bill, and wind-ruffled wing feathers. The image appears somewhat underexposed, and has a bit of a magenta cast to it. Very easy fixes using "Levels" in PS. The pink reflections in URC imply a setting sun so I'm OK with them, but I would definitely get rid of the lone one found lower. I'm undecided about the OOF gulls...
Daniel,
Thank you so much for your welcoming comments. I am definitely new to bird photography and need all the help I can get. A friend told me that the best way to improve capturing these beautiful creatures is by joining this website.
You are quite welcome Flor! Your friend had some wise words for you:)
Don't forget that we also have the "Eager to Learn" forum here on BPN where you will also receive great advice geared especially for beginning bird/nature photographers. Another forum worth looking through is "Tutorial and Educationla Resources"...tons of great tips, tricks and lessons...
