Greetings Folks!
I've been enjoying this site so much. All the tremendous photos, and postings from all over the globe!
Love it!
Hubby and I have been birding for about 25 years. Started out sharing a cheap pair of binoculars and a Golden Guide. :D
It developed into an obsession from there. We basically consider ourselves Connecticut birders,
as we haven't traveled too much, except here in the northeast. We ran a Hawk Watch (I was back-up for hubby, LOL) for 10 years at Maltby Lakes,
and contributed data to the lastest edition of the New York State Breeding Birds Atlas which we (again more him than me) collected from our little vacation area of the Adirondacks .
I am an amateur photographer, and originally started out just snapping shots of birds for later identification,
or to confirm an identification. Ha-ha-ha Most of my earliest photos could fill up multiple childrens book of [find the bird in this photo]. :o
Still, photography adds so much to this hobby and with digital technology it's a whole new world and wonderfully less expensive for processing.
My editing skills are basic, and I still use Microsoft Digital Image Suite, which I love and understand and wish they would upgrade, but no...
I've tried Adobe more than once but it's still all Greek to me. I currently have PS Elements 8 and am determined to learn it.
I look forward to my continued visits here, and meeting you all (if only virtually, anyhow).
A big Thank-You to the people responsible for this site, and to those sharing their work and knowledge.
