    Default Phoebe against the wind

I'm not sure if you guys will like this due to the large perch/small bird. I'm not sure if it works for me either. What I do know is that I love the windblown look of the bird, but hated the wind as it was pushing my kayak around like a toy boat.

    Whatcha think? Keeper?

    7D, 500mm, 1/4000, f/4, ISO 800, kayak in choppy water.

Keeper. Don't mind the windblown look, the perch has character with the shape, texture, and webs. The BG is a nice color. And the little bird shows big personality by taking that spot to watch over his domain. Just my opinion though.

Steve, I liked the perch in the first place, but I hadn't thought about it from that perspective.

Like the wind blown look. Perch is distracting to me, seems to be the subject instead of bird... would
try cropping most of perch out if you can keep bird sharp. Must be fun shooting from kayak

    Thanks Dan for your comments.

Sometimes it's fun, other times it's extremely frustrating fighting the wind.

I'm in the bird-too-small-perch-too-big boat (or kayak if you prefer!:)). Plus, the perch is too bright in some spots, and I find the "elbow" too close to the edge. I do love the windswept look of the phoebe though, and the BG is very nice.

If you would be so lucky to get a hawk or Osprey to perch on it that would be too good to be true though!!

That would be some luck!! I don't think the perch is nearly tall enough to suit their tastes though. I can hope!

    Thanks, Daniel.
