This Great Blue Heron was eager to strike a pose for me. He kept tricking me into thinking he was going to leave the roost by spreading his wings and then collapsing them again.

Hi Kurt, Very nice job on this. Love the wingspread, lighting and clean backround. Might add a bit more room on the right. Well done!

He did a nice pose for you, love the HA, the wing spread, how both feet are visible as well as the tail. Also like the sharpness, detail and nice blue background. Maybe less room on the left and more on the right.

Just the little bit of room which will be easy to do other than that love everything about the image. Lots of detail, sharp, well exposed and processed !! Big Congrats !!! One of the better GBH I've seen in a while !!!

Hi Kurt, I also agree that you need more room on the right (but I wouldn't crop from the left). Other than that, you made an outstanding image of a GBH. Nice job!

Super capture Kurt! I love the pose, sharpness, eye contact, and color rendition with just the right amount of saturation. Could possibly lighten the eye just a tad.

Pose looks fantastic. Exposure and composition all look really good.
