I dont normally visit this section, so hopefully my image is appropiate. I wanted to convey the rim light around the baboons, so I have darkened the surrounding BG completely.

WOW! Stuart, I hope you visit this forum more often. I really like the rim light and the black BG. My only thoughts would be to get the fur on the Baboons to be more wispy and less cut out. Re-mask by Topaz does a great job w/ that. I believe they offer a free trial period. Just google Topaz and then select re-mask. This image IMO is really worth the fix.:)

    Nice image and application, Stuart.

    Welcome to OOTB.

Very nice BG effect and agree with Denise on the fur detail.

    Denise, Mark, thanks a stack.

Denise, I agree about the edges and will definately look into Topaz. Thanks for your guidance - appreciated.

Hi Stuart, have you tried also playing around in levels too, just to see?

Will be please to see the results in Topaz too.

    Hey Stuart,
This one rocks!!! I agree with Denise on the softening and will offer one more thing to try....small dodge tool.....just get some of the really dark edges out a bit more.......small tweaks will make this even more stunning!

Stuart, when I saw the thumbnail I couldn't imagine what this would be. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this amazing image! Big welcome to this corner of BPN!! I really like this image a lot and your thoughts and processing to get it where it is are what OOTB is all about. Very nicely done! Suggestions above will make it even stronger.
