I applied the dry brush and paint daubs filters to this Queen Anne's Lace flower, as well as added a canvas texture and frame. Any comments and critiques would be most appreciated.

Christopher, Lovely effect. I might evict the brown stem at the top. The colors and the comp. are very nice-but the frame is fantastic!!

Good eye on that stem, Denise.

Looks like it's ready for the wall to me!

Thanks Denise and Colin. Good catch on the stem, I'll make sure to clone that out.

Do you have to start over in your workflow? You couldn't clone it and maintain that canvas texture too easily. Hopefully you have a PSD file laying around somewhere...

Colin, I always keep the psd file with all the layers, so it won't be too hard to go back and clone it out. I might have to redo one or two of the filters like the canvas texture you mention, but that's all.

    Nice image and application, Christopher.

I might have added a little more cavas all around. But ... your image ... your vision.

Christopher, I like the effects you used - the flower almost looks like a snowflake. I hadn't noticed the brown stem but agree that eviction would help. And the frame is lovely:)

Christopher, lovely image and effects you used here. That stem was the first thing that caught my eye. ;) I would think the patch tool might work better than cloning, but either should be fine. Might also evict that black spot in the middle... This brought back memories of Indiana to me, where this plant grows in abundance. Love the colors and the fact that white is only around the outside of the flower. Nice!

Thanks Kerry. I almost always use the patch tool for cloning. Yesterday I worked at removing the stem and it came out just fine. :) Thanks a lot for the comments!

    Christopher, beautiful :)
Glad that you managed to evict the stem whithout difficulty as that would take it over the top.
    Best,
    Nicki
