Default The Lord of the wind

A Red Kite playing with the wind in a sunny day in Madrid, Spain. I stayed hidden for shooting because they are very suspicious. (Hide, Tripod, 400 mm, 1/500s, f/9, ISO 200, 10% cropping)

Nicely done, i really like your capture of a "tough" subject, Maybe some reduction of the shadows on the underside of the "RT"wing might further add to a great image. Sharp head, and eye!

Head and eye are very sharp but a faster shutter speed would have frozen the wings and tail for better sharpening.

I like that we can see some of the detail under the wings. The image is sharp where it counts (the head and eyes). I agree with Don in that if you can it might be worth trying to lighten the shadows to even out the light and reveal even more detail. You did not say what camera you were using but, I would suggest increasing your ISO to 400. That is where I start and often go as high as 800. You could then dial in more shutter speed which would help address Scott' comment. Thanks for sharing.
