    Canon 7D, EF-l70-200f2.8 IS, handheld, from a vehicle. Shutter speed 1/800sec, Aperture 7.1, iso250. Clear conditions after a rainstorm. Colour, tone and sharpening in ACR. Location Duba Plains, Okavango Delta, Botswana, 19 February 2010, 18h08pm. Image cropped to approx 10 megapixels.

    A very arresting image Grant, like it. Good composition, POV and placement of the lioness. The colour IMHO might need a very little tweak, but guess that's me. :D

    lovely image, only a suggestion but would consider cropping were the rainbow runs in to cloud , making it into a pano...

    Good placement of the lion, and I like the perspective. I like Peter's idea about cropping a bit off the top.

    Hi Grant... this is great! I love your composition, and the light on the lion is really nice. I think the clouds give the image something extra, and make it even better. Congrats!

    Hi Grant One unusual image, would only intensify the Rainbow some and tweak the clouds !!! Excellent !!!

    Really like the angle and the inclusion of the environment. The rainbow really adds to the image.

    If you crop top and left, the rainbow becomes more prominent in the image. But not sure if better.

    I like the composition. The rainbow is a big plus. The low angle works fine. I agree with Steve regarding the need to do slight tweaking to the colours. Thanks for sharing.

    I like the image as posted. The comp is excellent and the rainbow is super. Not overdone.

    missed this one! one awesome image Grant!! eish...
    I just bought a 7D, the ability to crop away half the image and still have plenty of megapixels is very appealling...
