    Default White Morph

I was shooting next to fellow photographer Paul Fusco in the lagoon ay North Beach at Ft Desoto and every time a white bird would land in the lagoon I would ask him if it was the White Morph since he had binoculars on him. I think he was relieved when the White Morph finally showed up:)

Don, I like the posture and wing spread here including the droplets off the beak. Thanks for sharing!

Good fishing posture Don, and I like the sharp detail. I cant check the exposure, but maybe some areas are on the borderline. Still, well captured.

Don, Beautiful sharp details and exposure looks great. I love the pose and the water drops.

Good low angle, and I like the water reflections under the wings. Although the bird and ripples are level the slanted water/land line is distracting to me. I would either "level" it with the clone stamp (without rotating the subject), or fill it in with blue all the way to the top. I agree some of the whites are hot...I'm sure there is more detail to be found hidden in there during RAW conversion.

    Thanks everyone for your comments,
I pulled the posted image into PS and could not find any values over 238 and while that is bright it is not blown I also checked the histogram on all three channels and they all looked fine. The image was made around mid day not the most ideal light for shooting a white subject and the reason the whites are bright but I took care in the field not to clip any of the three channels because I knew I would be struggling with the whites in post:)

    I really like the pose.
Exposure looks good to me and Color Cop could not find any hot spots.
I like the nice water reflections in the wings.
I also like the green in bg, and if mine i might be tempted to level it off a bit. The bird and water look level to me.

Don, well done..like everything about it. Is it possible the top Lt wing is slightly over exposed?

Agree with Don. Top of the wing is not over exposed. Due to orientation of the light and wing position, very small shadows created by feathers are not visible. Basically, this turned the top of the wing into a white paper. Don exposed it right.
