    I liked this little guy against this background. Did I get the whites and blacks tamed properly in the image? Some cropping and tweaking in LR2. C&C, please.

    Wendell, very cute bird, and a great pose. I think you got the exposure for the most part-this is a tough one in terms of contrast range. Some of the shadows between the rocks may have no detail, but the whites look OK. Did you use a polarizer?

    Hi Wendell, Good pose and well positioned within the frame. Would have wanted warmer light which would have given you more detail in the bird.

    Dave, are you speaking of natural light conditions or of changing it in PP?

    Hi Wendell, thinking more of natural light. That lighting has a way of really bringing out the detail in whites...

    Great comments and fully agree, would also select the eye area and lighten some to make it more prominent !!! .. think I like the pose best of all, sort of sneaking up to something !!!
