    Default Question about nesting schedules

Hi everyone, I am wondering about the nesting schedule of the egrets at Gatorland and Alligator Farm. I photograph a great white egret and brown pelican rookery in the Everglades. Compared to last year, the birds are at least one month behind schedule, especially the great white egrets. Right now, I notice very few nests with babies. Last year at this time, the young birds were almost adult size and by May, the pelicans were already flying. I suspect it was the cold winter that delayed them this year. Is that possible and also, I am wondering if you are noticing the same up in the central and northern parts of Florida. Thank you for your information.
