This is another view of the volcanoe’s steam eruption at HVNP. It’s as close as I wanted to be, thanks to telephoto shot.

Modifications in CS4 included; Accented Edges, Shadow & Highlight, Hue & Saturation and Brightness & Contrast adjustment.

    Enjoy!

Mark, Nice effects applied I like the cloud of steam/smoke. I might tone down the one bright white spot in the middle. Nicely framed.

Has an otherworldly look to it. The steam certainly grabs you and pulls you right into the image. Nicely done, Mark.

Mark, another very dramatic image - agree with Denise about toning down the bright spot.
    Best,

Mark, I really like the stark, desolate feeling that this image conveys. It reminds me of some of the terrain in the "end of the world" movies. Very moody.

Thanks for viewing and comments, Patti.

While Hawaii is a beautiful place. HVNP is very desolate in many areas. The moon scape landscape is very interesting and I wish I had more time to explore it when we were there. But agree, it is moody, in its beauty. :)
