In a way I actually like this profile angle. The sun had just come out, after the previous day being overcast, so this was all about the light. I like the facial detail too. Taken in Kruger last year Sept.

Great sharp detail Stuart...I really like the profile and BG. Personally I would like to see some more off the top about a cm or so

Hi Stuart, this ticks all the boxes for me, personally I feel one of your best, if not, the best, a real cracker!!!:)

Might suggest just coming in from the rhs about half way along the back. IMHO I think it strengths the whole composition.

Thanks a stack for all your feedback guys.

Peter, thanks for your repost too. The crop works well, but I just feel your lowering of the exposure is a tad too much. The grey areas on the face now look too dark. Still, I appreciate your time on showing me what can be done.

Stuart, report looks good, except I would have added a bit more room on the right. Good job, and this is one of my favorite angle, side profile view. Stunning shot. Peter's contrast just made him/her pop.

Hi Stuart, perhaps a slight tweak, but I feel Peter's repost has just push it a bit too far for me and therefore it has lost some of the original qualities.

Very well done Stuart. A combination of Peters crop and the colors and exposure of op works for me. Nice and sharp with great profile. TFS

Here is my repost. I have cropped as per Steve's suggestion, a little off the right, and some off the top as per Dumay. I have also toned the image down with a slight curve adjustment. What do you think now.

Stuart, it's more in keeping with my thoughts, and could go a fraction more around the nose.

Will PM you as I do not want to hi jack this thread with loads of re-posts.:D

Stuart, I like both the original and your own repost. If I had to chose I would select the repost due to crop. On my monitor and for my eye I like the curves adjustment of the original better than the toned down version. I do recognize that I like images with darker blacks than some.

Super image Stu. Love the detail and prefer the comp of your repost. I find the contrast in Peter's version too harsh (sorry Peter).:)
