The lesser adjutant stork is an uncommon resident stork found scattered throughout India. It frequents marshy areas, wet fields and mangrove swamps. It differs from its larger cousin, the greater adjutant stork, by the lack of a gular pouch, and uniformly black upperwing.

Quite a character. Well exposed and sharp. Wish the sun angle had been a bit more over your shoulder to reduce the heavy shading on the body, but the head angle did keep the head very well illuminated, so it certainly still works. From a comp. standpoint, I wish there was a little more room on both sides.
Good call on fstop, it has helped tame a rather busy looking background.
Randy has expressed my thoughts quite well! Vertical was the way to go, but you've cropped it a little too tight. Looks like this guy/gal woke up on the wrong side of bed!! Thanks also for the comparision info between the stork species...
