Enjoying all the posturing for territories from these guys. Early evening, after sun dipped below the mountains, may have been overcast too. BG is water reflecting sky. 40D, 400DO + 2xTC, f10, 1/60s, ISO 400, +1 EC, tripod, MLU, cable release, cropped vertical from horizontal.

Hi Steve, Nice HA and details in the blacks and works nicely as a vertical. I would be tempted to clone out the cattails in the LLC if it were mine.

Details in the blacks are very good -- I would try to darken the main perch below the feet

Hi Steve, lovely angle of capture, and you seem to have your blacks sorted, with regards to exposure. Overall sharp, and I like the softer light, and colour in the BG. Before reading Don's comment on the grass LLC, I noticed it too, if only the whiter piece coming out above the tail. Cheers.

Beautiful blacks Steve. Like the pose and the details. They really are fun to watch with all the posturing and 'yelling' for attention.

    Cheers!
