    This is my first post to this site - lots of names here that I recognize though.

    This was the first time I got close enough to a turkey vulture to get some portrait shots.

    Welcome, Dieter! Nice portrait, eye contact, exposure control and details. It is a bit tight in the frame for my taste, and would add some at the top. I might clone out the yellow spot left of the head. Keep them coming!

    Whoa this is a hefty specimen, looks like it had lots to scavenge on :-) I too would clone out the yellow spot near the head, and I find the bird cropped a bit awkwardly at bottom. Maybe a vertical with more of the Vulture showing would be good (at least with some of the tips of the primaries showing).
