    Default Alligator Farm Green

Spring and mating season is in full swing at the Alligator Farm, this GE in breeding colors was kind enough to pose in a good BG.
    Model: Canon EOS-1D Mark IV
    Lens (mm): 330 (100-400L)
    ISO: 1000
    Aperture: 6.3
    Shutter: 1/1250
    no flash, HH, close focus
my preference is not to use fill flash for white birds, since I feel it erases the texture of the plumage.

I like the subtle shadows which really bring out the birds detail. Love the stare and posture. Having the entire length of the bill in focus is icing on the cake. If I could change anything it would be to have just a glimmer of background between the s curve of his neck and body and to lighten the eye.

The soft light and BG make this one for me, pose and composition look great, too. I would only run NR on the BG.

Love the fact that the BG color and the lore match. Sweet image all around.

Excellent exposure Fabs, and love the breeding colours. The head and bill are really sharp.
