Hey Alfredo, Welcome. I moved your post to Eager to Learn where you can receive more of the help that you need. I like the basic composition and the background texture. The big problem with the image is that the light is from the right and slightly from the rear, thus the side of the bird and the face are in dark shadow.

Best to try and point your shadow at the bird in cases like this if possible. Lots of flash with a Better Beamer might have helped....

Hi Alfredo - Agree with Artie about the light.

What camera and lens are you using?? Just wanting to get a more complete idea of what is going on - Low ISO being used - but depends a little on your camera.

Hi Alfredo - I would increase the ISO - D200 should be good for at least 400ISO and probably a tad more.
With a SB600 an BB - depending on the distance to the subject - in these light conditions - would be starting at full power and adjusting from there if required.

Hi Alfredo, Welcome aboard!! My backup camera is a D200 and you can push the ISO to 400 without noise. Any higher and it starts to appear.
Artie gave some good lighting advice and Lance on the flash. Compositionally I think the image could be made somewhat tighter and still have a similar feel but accentuate the bird a bit more.
I was thinking of cropping the bottom up to a bit below the crack and cropping the left just before the weed....

Sometimes you just have to get closer.
Like that is easy to do :)
