    This is the same bird as yesterday's post. A fisherman scared the pair away from the previous spot, where I had nice blue water as bg, but I caught up with them again. Here I was kneeling in the water, looking toward the beach and mudflats beyond. Mid-afternoon light was harsh. I believe this is the female; Sibley doesn't indicate any gender difference in plumage, but f>m. In fact, she looks as if she may be carrying eggs. I'll post the male tomorrow to end the series. C&C appreciated.

    Hi Bill - love the low shooting angle - have done well with the harsh light - nice details throughout.
    A little CW rotation??
    Like the raised foot.

    Hi Bill, Good exposure based on existing lighting. I like the look back position of the head,low angle and muted backround. I might crop about 40% off the top.
