    Default Zebra Crossing

This was taken at Rietvlei Nature Reserve as the sun was coming up. I really like the light in this. Still trying to get the PP conversion for BPN right. So please forgive me if I keep reposting the image.:o:D

Shot in MRAW processed in CS4 30% crop all around, not to strengthen comp. There was just too much space all around.

Crits are much appreciated as it helps me to improve....Thank you in advance

I like it as presented, side light works well here since the head and chest of the Egret are well lit. I don't have a problem with the head angle as is, and I absolutely LOVE the perch :)
Only wish the dirt? was not on the bird's foot.

Magnificent light and a very sweet shot all around. Don't think I'd want it cropped any tighter.

Ditto Fabs, although I wouldn't mind a bit better HA. Normally I prefer less intense blues in the shaded areas, but here I think it contrasts very well with the overall warm tones of the image. There is a lone hair(?) on the zebra's black stripe directly beneath the foot that keeps catching my eye. Easily removed if you wish to do so. Very appealing image Dumay!:)

Thanks everyone. Yeah Fabs that feather also bugged me. Great light, great perch..terrible dirty feather on foot. Thanks daniel for pointing that out, it is quite distracting. Daniel, i hope this doesnt sound like a stupid question...What is HA?

Rietvlei at first light always produces. Just enough Zebbie, and the the egret well placed in the frame.

Hi Dumay, I feel this is your best to date. Points already covered earlier, but for me you have handled the whites extremely well and very tricky given the conditions. As for the perch, a real cracker.:)

after countless visits to Rietvlei I've yet to notch an egret on an equine mammal on my belt, and this is a cracker. good points noted above.

Ditto to all the praises above. This is just so nice. All you need to do is remove the feather from the foot.

Lovely light, BG, perch and pose. Clean up the feather and rogue hair and you have a winner, Dumay.
