    Graham:

The comp. certainly does work for me. The strong red reflection and great low shooting angle pull it together.
I wish the sun angle had been a bit more behind you, so both sides were lit, but the dark side does lend him a bit of an ominous look.

    Cheers

    Randy

I like this. You couldnt tell where th water stops and the sky begins if it wasnt for the ripples. I like that the reflection isnt like a moirror image. I like the contrast and colours.

I was tempted to suggest a little off the bottom but took another look and decided against that. Love the very low angle and everything else as well.

Love the low angle and colors.
Only wish for a slight head turn.

For me its the opposite from Joe in that I would suggest taking a bit off the top. Awesome facing pose, and I loe the reflection. I too wish the face were evenly lit, but I'd be extremely pleased with this.

P.S. A bit more sharpening for web presentation would be a good thing here IMO as the eye seems a tad soft...

    Hi Graham

As you know, Daniel has echoed my thoughts too, however I do feel that if the 'horizon line' was based on a third, two thirds rule it would really bolster the composition. Combine these two comments and you would have a strong and striking image.

Keep up the good work, secure that spot and hope to see more posts like this. :)

    Graham,

Did you PS the reflection? Either way, it is OK and I like it. ;)

    Thanks all for comments.

Troy - no I didn't PS the reflection. Just my usual process - crop, curves, levels, USM etc., :)

Graham, like I said, I like it either way. Very nice.
I would light up the left side of the face a bit.
