The season is upon us. Try as I might I could not get cooperation from the male with regard to HA -- guess something else was on his mind. In any case, I felt lucky to get this shot. I thought the lighting was pretty good. In LR the image was cropped leaving about 85% of the original, and with quite minimal additional adjustments. I did not touch NR -- is that OK here?

    Wendell,

Greetings. Nice sharp, er, action shot. Good light and whites. If it were mine, I would adjust the background color a little cooler (less cyan and yellow, it seems a somewhat dingy color to me) and perhaps a bit warmer heads for color contrast, as well as NR on the background. A little more contrast in the whites detail would be my preference. Finally, a tighter crop (except bottom).

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Hi Wendell,Good story along with exposure. Agree about the HA and the tighter cropping suggestion. I would run NR on the backround.

Hi Wendell. Good action shot. Good advice given above; I'd definitely run NR on the bg.

Hi Wendell...agree with the above comments on the BG...looks a liitle off on my monitor...HA angle on the male...he had more than you on his mind :D. But this is a great capture and story...and the exposure and clarity is terrific..and you used a 2X converter...nice job...thanks for sharing.

Hi Wendell - just needs some small tweaks as noted above - HA on male is not going to bother me here - IMHO story and action coneys more than a correct HA on the male.
    Big Congrats :)
