    Default Young Hippo

Young Hippo, returning to the Chobe River.
Made the best of what was now getting quite harsh light.

    D3 500VR 1/500s ISO200@f/5.6 Monopod from small boat.

    C & C most welcome

    Cheers
    Marc

Hi Marc, think you have done well considering the harsh light & from a small boat. Good detail where it needs to be and the droplets add to the image. Not sure about the crop, is this full frame?

Not my fav crop either 5:4, it just worked better than 3:2 as I had another Hippo just left of image that I needed to crop.

Good sharp detail Marc, and I like the eye. Do youngsters always have to dribble ;)

Wow... I'm fascinated by these huge creatures, and your image is great. I love the start and dribble you've captured.
