    Default Red-wattled Lapwing: Dudhwa

Shot this from elephant back in the marshes in Dudhwa National Park, India.

I liked the tiny white flowers in the background. Comments and Critiques welcome...

    Bibhav:

I was going to comment about needing a lower shooting angle, but unless you can find a shorter elephant, I guess that isn't going to happen :)

I like the idea of the small white flowers, but they are bright enough that they do tend to pull the eye.

A lower shooting angle would have thrown them more out of focus, and perhaps helped on this point.

Your bird is sharp and well exposed with perhaps just a bit of sharpening halo showing along the breast.

I might try some subtle luminosity adjustments of the background to keep our eye on the bird.

    Cheers

Agree with Andy; since this is full-frame you might try to crop a little to emphasize the bird and eliminate at least some of the bright white flowers.
