    Kgalagadi Park , This was north of Polenstwa , early morning, we missed them at the waterhole and got them on their way to another hyena with a springbok carcas

    the light, mood and scene are wonderful Johan! the mimiced poses makes this special. don't know how you feel about this - but I would crop away the tree from the left as I feel it competes with the hyenas.

    I would crop some from left to lose the tree and also a bit off the top to keep it from looking square.

    hope you do not mind me playing around with your image..

    cropped out trees ,rotated the image to get horizon level,flipped image, decreased the yellow, decreased exposure, curves, added some black.. did this on laptop , so not perfect but gives you an idea of what i was trying to achieve

    Nice image Johan. For my taste a mix of the op and Peters re post would be good. Bring down the grass but mask out the hyenas. I see what Peter is going for with the flip, but for me it is more engaging in the op as I am drawn into the approaching predator. Well composed, nice and sharp. TFS

    Hi Johan, prefer your OP, however the washed out colour, or bias to it I'm not sure about, as the feeling is a bit mixed for me. Love the POV and balance and would leave the tree in.
