Well seen Tony - somewhat resembles a Stealth Bomber about to take to the air!! I am just wondering if cropping both sides towards the forelegs would strengthen the composition - what do you think?

    Hi John

I understand what you are saying and I have a few different takes on this moth. The moths legs are in slightly different positions which shows with a closer view or crop and sends things out of balance, but is not so obvious with the wider view.
I also have a very tight image which I shall post next post.

    O M G!!!!! How cool can this be :)
Very unusual perspective and those peek-ah-boo eyes make the image for me. Congratulations!

Love the image and Johns Stealth bomber quote, that is exactly what I thought when I looked at the image!

The selective focus is perfect and the crop works well.
