    Another from Ridgefield NWR. Know it is not the best image, but working on it. Most my images are environmental/ habitat.
    D2xs 80-400mmvr at 400mm iso 200 1/250sec at f/8.0 wb auto. Should have used a higher iso and lower f/stop for faster shutter speed. horizontal cropped for vert. Comments and suggestions welcome.

    Craig I like the position of the bird, and you have a nice BG. I think the OOF plant is a distraction because it is spatially in front of the subject, instead of behind it, so I would clone it out if it were mine.

    Hi Craig, Agree with Julie regarding the distracting backround.Also agree with your self critique but would have kept it at F8.Would have liked the head to be turned more towards the viewer with more of the bird sharp.

    Hi Craig - good advice given by Julie and Dave.
    The HAP may want to question you :)
    The OOF foreground objects are distracting as mentioned - BG is nice though - could try some quick masks to remedy.
