From the Alligator Farm this past weekend a breeding plumage cattle egret carrying a large stick. The Farm is great this year with lots of birds and able to stay till way past sunset for flight ! One special place to shoot !!!

Beautiful action and detail in the wings, Al. Amazing how the bird balances the stick perfectly!:)

excellent composition, stick looks somewhat heavy for the egret, I love how he has grabbed dead center point!!! birds know physics too. excellent Al

I remember last year you were trying to get one in flight with nesting material. You can check that off for this year's checklist. :)

I like the opposing curves between the wings and nesting material.

An opportunity well used Al. Good to see the light through the wings, and that sure is a large piece of wood, for such a small bird.

Al that image turned out great! I remember the smile on your face when you took it, you knew right then it was a keeper. I had an amazing time at the farm, learned lots and it was wonderful to finally meet you and Fabs. Thanks for everything.
