As the ferry boat pulled into the Jamestown dock at sunset, I realized that we were gliding in right next to a pair of Ospreys nesting on a piling of the ferry slip, so I jumped out of the car and fired off a blast of shots. Looking at the EXIF, it seems that in my haste I forgot to switch on the VR. I posted the nesting pair on Avian last week. Here's a frontal head shot, taken just after the superstructure of the boat cast its shadow on the bird, so I had to do some lightening in PP. I also managed a profile head shot, but this is more fun. C&C appreciated.
