    Default Mardi Gras!!!

    Hello all,

Birds as humans like to have fun. At Frisco (suburb of Dallas, TX) in May 2009, I was invited to an animal mask ball. This bird with this mask was so visible amongst the other guests. But he was easy to recognize even with this great mask, with its so long tail, looking like a scissor ;) You should have seen the costume of the Northern Mockinbirds: true clowns!!! :D

Do you recognize my today's star :)

    Any comments?

Thank you very much in advance,

I 'll have to leave it to the birders to id this one, but I wonder if your Avatar has anything to do with the costume.

Great idea, shame the bird's eyes are covered and you clipped the tail. Do you have any more of this episode?

    Hello Dave and Fabs,

Thank you for commenting this pic.

Fabs, It's not a pity that the eyes are covered for it is the main idea of a mask ball ;)

Here he is without its mask:

    Here a few seconds before:

And here a few minutes later:

    Cheers,
