A couple weeks ago I took a few pictures of this Eared Grebe in breeding plumage. I liked this "thoughtful pose" best (however, it is probably simply looking into the water for breakfast). The image is adjusted in Lightroom and Elements. I left the water color as is, and did not remove the light stripe in the water above the bird's back, which was there in the original image. What do you think? As I look at it now the image appears rather drab . . .(?)
Hi Wendell, Interesting subject and if possible I would remove the light stripe above the birds back. A lower shooting angle would have been more effective and I might take a bit off the top...
