    Default Osprey in flight

Nothing special about this one, just another osprey; but I liked the fully flared tail and outstretched wings as he banked over the York River in afternoon light. Cropped from horiz and took a bit off top and bottom. Desaturated the blue somewhat, although it still looks strong. C&C appreciated.

Hi Bill, here in Southern Africa osprey images like that are hard to come by. I liked the full spread of the feathers, and the angle of the head tilted to the side, with the eye nice and clear.

Excellent flight pose, love the wing and tail spread, HA and eye contact of this one. I like the sharpness of the bird too. There seem to be artifacts on the lower wing, maybe from trying to lighten the shadow area. Never see a real life osprey, but love to photograph them one day :D

I ran a round of NR to the whole image, and lighten the image up a bit. Linear burn on the head area a bit to tone down the white.

Hi Bill......I like this image as is. You have great detail in the whites with a strong diagonal creating a good composition. The sky is a bit dark but this does not bother me much! Beautiful shot!

Very nice, Bill. I like the wing and tail spread and the angle of the bird in the image. Nice details on the white.
I also think the sky is a little too dark and could use some nr.

Hi Bill - lots to like here - the outstretched wings and the fanned out tail are really nice - good ha also.
Think I would just lighten the sky a Tad and run some nR on it.
Fine image - like it a lot.

Hi Bill, Outstanding pose! Looks very, very nice. :) Exposure on the bird looks good to me. Would just lighten the sky a tad and and run some NR as others mentioned.

Thank you all. It does appear that I forgot to run NR on the sky. Here's a repost with a bit brighter sky and NR. I appreciate the comments.

(PS - on looking at the repost, it may be that I could have gone brighter yet.)
