    Taken last week a Nickerson Beach.
    D-300, 300 2.8R, 1.7x,f/6.3, 1/1250, iso800.

    Nice to see the dorsal view,well exposed. Good choice on aperture, nice balance of DOF. I like the crashing waves in the background, places the bird in its environment.

    I have looked at it a couple of times to decide about the levelness of the BG. It is probably accurate as shot, but I keep turning my head to level the surf line. Just me probably.

    Awesome flight pose, and excellent comp. I love the wing pointing down, I also love the waves in the BG. I see Randy's predicament about the BG, but I find the bird as straight as it should be. You could experiment with levelling those waves, but this might make your subject fly upwards instead :). What this image needs though, is a contrast boost as it looks washed out as posted. In the repost I did an 18 point (!) boost in contrast. Very well done!

    Nice capture. The contrast boost in the repost is a nice improvement.
